SP203-1Modular Scheme for Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
The objective of the BAFE is to provide a means by which, users of fire protection system and regulatory authorities can be confident that the companies providing and maintaining fire alarm systems have procedures in place to effectively undertake the work they carry out.
The scheme has been split into four modules, the intention of this is to ensure that companies only gain BAFE registration for the modules in which they are competent. The four modules are System Design, Installation, Commissioning & Handover and Maintenance.
In October 2008 Power Plus was successfully awarded all four modules of this scheme, setting us apart from the majority of fire protection companies.
NIC EIC Approved Contractor Scheme
The NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme is the nationally recognised third party certified scheme for electrical contractors who undertake the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical installations. The aim of this scheme is to promote the use of competent persons and provide users of contracting services with a single source directory of competent contractors.
In August 2009 Power Plus was enrolled on to the Approved Contractor scheme following a third party audit to assess the quality and safety of our work against a specific set of competency requirements.
CHAS-The Contractors Health & Safety
To show our clients’ that we are committed to meeting the legal requirements for Health and Safety, Power Plus enrolled in the CHAS scheme in September 2009; as part of this process a full audit of our health and safety policies and arrangements was undertaken. One of the principal benefits of the scheme is the reassurance it offers to clients’ when they know the contractors they purchase from are compliant with Health and Safety law.
